During my stay many promises were made to improve and fix the building I was in, including but not limited too an indoor bike storage area, fixing the doors to the building, and providing basic maintenance to the grounds and buildings but none of them were ever completed and no effort was made. I left the place in better condition than it was when I got it.
*Complex Is Always Unsecured. For the kind of money they want, you can do much better. Sure, it's small...but that gets insanely annoying having oil pooling all on one side.Here's what I'd recommend. Upon calling to confirm the new move-in earlier in the week, I was told the unit would not be ready for move-in until a week after and not fully done until a month later. The neighborhood is good. The Summit at Red Rocks is a beautiful apartment complex conveniently located just outside of Denver, CO. You will regret it! I know a lot of people thinking about moving are using this, and let me tell you that if you are trying to stay in Golden, you will find no better. The worst problems were with the rest of the building and property. Additionally, leasing and welcome letter details were wrong repeatedly and required multiple iterations to get basics like my name spelling and dollar amounts correct. I did find a single small extinguisher in the far stairwell but, from my experience as a volunteer fireman, I felt it was entirely inadequate. I have notified The Cliffs numerous occasions and the building to this day is left unsecured. You email them, they don't respond. See 2 floorplans, review amenities, and request a tour of the building today. I’ll never know. Don't even get me started on the mold. They lied and took it all, so just for warning, you will not get your security deposit back.They also take forever to get anything fixed with the place. I'm honestly telling you now, you will be much better off if you just continue your search. So we sat down and looked at what really mattered to us. And i have personally witnessed them being personally attacked over some extremely small things, such as a blind not opening properly, which in my experience is just operator error. Do you want to see your credit destroyed by an immoral company looking to take advantage of you for a few extra bucks? She will pretend to be nice to tenants, but if you end up on her "naughty list" for any reason then you will start getting harassed needlessly. Would rate negative stars if possible. This place is a dump and looks nothing like the photos on the website. A four apartment fire last year underscored the problem.
The locks on the outside of the buildings were broken for the entire year that I lived there, which, by the way, is a violation of Colorado’s Landlord-Tenant Act.
